Conveyor provider Vollert insolvent
The German based supplier of conveyor systems and intralogistic Vollert Anlagenbau has filed for insolvency. The company plans to restructure during insolvency and has recently acquired new orders.
Vollert Anlagenbau is best known to paint shops for its conveyor technology, which is used in many advanced paint shops. The company also develops turnkey intralogistics concepts for use in many industries worldwide. Vollert’s plant and machine solutions are used internationally in over 80 countries.
The main reason for the company’s financial difficulties is the weak global demand over the last 18 months in all industries in which Vollert operates, particularly in the precast concrete industry. In addition, a major project for a customer in the steel industry had to be completed at a loss due to unforeseeable difficulties.
Vollert continues to operate
Vollert Anlagenbau GmbH’s business operations will continue without restriction. Employees‘ wages and salaries are secured for three months by insolvency payments from the Employment Agency. „I informed the workforce about the situation immediately after filing for insolvency. It is extremely regrettable that it had to come to this – especially since we were able to acquire two new major projects just a few weeks ago. If we had known that we would no longer be able to use our guarantee framework with the banks for the new orders at such short notice, we would of course have cancelled all the celebrations to mark our company’s 100th anniversary in June,“ explains Hans-Jörg Vollert, managing partner of Vollert Anlagenbau.
‘As a first step, I will get an overview of the situation. Together with my team and the management of Vollert Anlagenbau, the task will then be to examine what solutions are possible for the company in the current situation,’ explains lawyer Marc-Philippe Hornung from the law firm SZA Schilling, Zutt & Anschütz, who was appointed provisional insolvency administrator by the Heilbronn Local Court.
