ECOLROMAT 2026: Submit Your Paper Now!
In November, leading experts in railway vehicle coating will gather for ECOLROMAT in Mulhouse, France. The world’s only international specialist conference with this thematic focus thus returns to its origins and is seeking specialist contributions on current innovations and challenges facing the industry. Abstracts may be submitted until 30 April 2026.
ECOLROMAT will take place on 24 and 25 November 2026 at the Hotel Bristol in Mulhouse and will bring together decision-makers from across the European rail industry. In addition to manufacturers of railway vehicles, railway operators, maintenance service providers, institutes and relevant suppliers are expected to attend.
Focus topics with practical relevance
Together with a newly established Advisory Board comprising renowned industry experts, key thematic priorities have been identified. Contributions on automation in application and pre-treatment as well as on fast-drying coating systems that reduce throughput times in paint shops are particularly sought after. Further priorities include novel functional coatings, for instance for anti-graffiti protection and the protection of pictograms, as well as concepts for rapid paint repairs in interior areas. Colour measurement and colour matching for quality assurance are also in focus. The topic of cleaning is addressed both with regard to easy-to-clean surfaces and in terms of water consumption.
Exchange for coating experts
The organisers emphasise that topic proposals beyond the mentioned priorities are also welcome. In addition to traditional specialist presentations, the conference focuses on interactive formats and workshops that encourage exchange between participants. Interested speakers are requested to submit their topic proposal with a brief abstract by 30 April 2026 via online form. Notification of speakers will take place in May 2026, with publication of the conference programme planned for June 2026.
