Freudenberg strengthens filter business
The global technology company Freudenberg is further expanding its filter business. In China, the Freudenberg Filtration Technologies Business Group has signed an agreement to acquire a majority stake in Apollo Air-cleaner Co., Ltd.
The company is a leading provider of air and water filtration solutions in China. The transaction is subject to approval by the Chinese antitrust authorities.”By acquiring a majority interest in Apollo, we are strengthening our position in the rapidly growing Chinese market for filtration solutions,” says Dr. Mohsen Sohi, Spokesman of the Management Board of the Freudenberg Group.
Filtration solutions for air and water filtration are recording high annual growth rates, particularly in China, due to stricter legal regulations and increased environmental awareness. Freudenberg Filtration Technologies intends to contribute its existing business with indoor air filtration applications to the joint venture.
